COMING SOON! Spirit Wear Sale!
The Leaders of Tomorrow are a group of proactive students who volunteer their time and talent to improve the lives of others. They lead by example and invite participation from our AMSA Community. This hard-working student volunteer club —full of go-getters and do-gooders, led by our own Mark Vital— has big plans for giving back to the greater community throughout the school year. For starters, The Leaders of Tomorrow will be holding multiple collection events this fall and winter to benefit those who may be struggling. Look for more information to come on how you can help our young leaders as they help out within our various communities. Scroll down to “Save the Date” to see some of their upcoming donation drives. ⇩⇩⇩
AMSA Car Magnets and AMSA Face Masks are available for only $5 each at the lower school front desk! Exact change will be appreciated by the receptionist, for sure.
AMSA Car Magnets. LOVE them. Everyone should have one. Even if you don’t like sticky stuff on your car (I sure don’t), you can still drive around in style with an AMSA magnet on your ride (it’s a magnet - no sticky stuff). This is such an easy way to brag that you are a proud parent, grandparent, relative, friend, or neighbor of an AMSA student. Car magnets are available for only $5 each at the lower school front desk.
And on that same note of AMSA pride...We don’t love to wear masks, but we do love to show our AMSA Pride. So let’s try to look at the upside. For only $5 each, you can pick up an AMSA face mask (or 2) at the lower school front desk and show your AMSA pride right there on your face. It’s not often we can do that, really.
Did everyone notice that we have quite a lot of half days on the school calendar this year? (waits while everyone checks their calendars)
Did you see all those half days happening on Wednesdays? New this year: for every Wednesday Half Day, the AMSA PTO (that’s you and me) will hold a Restaurant Fundraiser at one of our area restaurants. All you have to do is show up for lunch or dinner at the designated location, let them know you are “one of us,” & the partner restaurant will write us a check for a percentage of the sales! This is easy money for the AMSA Community. We’ll let you know which restaurant the week before it happens. Promise.
The next one is on Wednesday, October 20, but don’t worry. We’ll remind you.
Used Uniform Collection is Underway! Please consider donating your kids’ gently used uniforms. You can drop donations off at the lower school front desk on school days. Your donations are a big help to our community! --Thank you!
In other Used Uniform Collection News...AMSA will soon have an official Used Uniform Donation Box located on campus, which will make uniform donations soooo much easier. (Oh yeah. We are Big-Time, now.) The process of collecting and reselling used uniforms at a deep discount has long been a helpful community tradition at AMSA. Through the generosity of AMSA families and volunteers, the AMSA PTO was able to provide this gift, which will benefit the AMSA Community for many years to come. We will keep you posted about its arrival and location. --Thank you AMSA Community! You/We Rock!
Just a super friendly reminder that the AMSA PTO is all of us...Every parent or legal guardian of an AMSA student is already a member of the AMSA PTO. Get involved! Volunteering can be a fun and rewarding experience, and your contribution benefits our entire community.
--Many hands make light work!
Please consider sharing your time, talent, or treasure this year.
Email us at AMSACSPTO@gmail.com to find out how you can get involved.
Join us for our first (Virtual) AMSA PTO Community Meeting of the school year, on Wednesday September 29 at 7:00 PM. AMSA Guidance and a representative from SEPAC will give a special presentation. Link to join meeting is above.
