COMING SOON! Spirit Wear Sale!
We all know AMSA is the place to be when it comes to math and science. That’s a given. And really all our academics are pretty fab.But did you also know that AMSA has a robust and growing program of sports, clubs, and activities? Oh, yeah. Every year, AMSA gets better and better.
BIG NEWS for AMSA
Last spring, AMSA Girls’ Tennis Clinched AMSA’s First Ever MIAA State Championship Win! It was a proud moment for all of us: the Girls’ Tennis Team, Coach Gordon, Mr. Jones, and the entire AMSA Community. The Eagles fought hard for their big win, and when the team rode home as the new State Champions, they were welcomed back to Marlborough with their very own police escort! A State Championship banner will hang in the halls of AMSA for many years to come. And while a few of the players have since graduated, the memory of this sweet win will last a lifetime. It’s hard to believe that the AMSA Girls’ Tennis program started only 5 years ago! Read what our very own Director of Athletics (and sports writer extraordinaire), Pete Jones, shared about the history of AMSA Girls’ Tennis on the AMSA PTO Website.
Congratulations to the AMSA Girls’ Tennis Team for Bringing Home the MIAA State Championship Win! —Woot! Woot!

Our tasty pie fundraiser is back by popular demand! Order these delicious pies through AMSA PTO beginning on Monday, September 27 thru October 11. Pies will be ready for pick up on November 6, just in time for the holidays. Yes. I know. It’s still early to be thinking about holiday pies, but you can pop them in the freezer and they will be ready to thaw and enjoy during the holidays. Also, make sure to order an extra one to eat on pie-pick-up day. 😊
Choose from Chicken Pot Pie, Chocolate Cream Pie, a variety of Fruit Pies, and Apple Crisp (technically not pie, but close enough— Yummy).
So, that was a lot of dates. Look for an email on Monday that will make it easy to order pies and also to keep track of the dates. 😉
After a bit of a hiatus, the After Prom Celebration Event is back! It's happening! And, in case you have younger tweens/teens or you have forgotten what shenanigans kids could get into after their prom, here’s a refresher. The After Prom is a safe, substance-free, judgment-free party for AMSA Juniors and Seniors to enjoy—yup, you guessed it— after their Junior & Senior Prom. While the Prom and After Prom are scheduled for May 27-28, a LOT goes into planning and fundraising, so we start early.
The After Prom Committee is currently looking for new volunteer friends. Both middle school and high school parents are encouraged to get involved. Many roles are needed to plan, fundraise, and deliver a safe evening of fun, friends, and prizes. Often, parents with younger kids can jump in to save the Juniors and Seniors from spending the evening with their own parents hanging around at the event “volunteering,” so we REALLY need you, too. There is plenty of fun volunteering to go around for everyone! If you are interested in helping (it really is fun), please click here.
It’s time for us to meet our kids’ teachers and walk their schedules at Back to School Night. PTO parent volunteers will be available to greet parents in the lower school and upper school entryways between 5:30-6:00. The evening schedules begin at 6:00, so please stop by early to say “Hello” and learn more about what the AMSA PTO is all about.
AMSA Car Magnets and AMSA Face Masks will be conveniently available for sale at the very same, upcoming Back to School Nights, from 5:30-6:00 in the upper and lower school entryways. While you are stopping by to say hello, before heading off to your kiddo’s first class, treat yourself to some AMSA merch! Don’t worry about being late for “class.” We will be there during the ½ hour before the evening begins and besides, they probably won’t be giving out detentions.
Of course, don't forget that AMSA Car Magnets and AMSA Face Masks are always available for only $5 each at the lower school front desk! Exact change will be appreciated by the receptionist, for sure.
Just a super friendly reminder that the AMSA PTO is all of us...Every parent or legal guardian of an AMSA student is already a member of the AMSA PTO. Get involved! Volunteering can be a fun and rewarding experience, and your contribution benefits our entire community.
Please consider sharing your time, talent, or treasure this year. Email us at AMSACSPTO@gmail.com to find out how you can get involved.
Join us for our first (Virtual) AMSA PTO Community Meeting of the school year, on Wednesday September 29 at 7:00 PM. AMSA Guidance and a representative from SEPAC will give a special presentation. Link to join meeting is above.
